In the far North of Michigan, there is an overwhelming urge to defer thoughts of another Winter knocking at the door. Rad Macready, owner of the taste-setting boutique Huzza in Harbor Springs, invited close friends and family to enjoy a magical evening in the woods – and even built a table especially for the event.
A Simple Evening is the creation of Megan and Mike Gilger, two blog entrepreneurs with a passion for communal gatherings. The aim of their Simple Evenings is to bring people together while enjoying great food prepared by a guest chef. Rad and the Huzza team, based in Harbor Springs, MI, proved the perfect partners with an exquisite selection of contemporary tabletop pieces on hand and a party-loving crew ready to create magic in the woodland.
Huddleson’s new Cinta Napkin in natural undyed linen with an earthy Moss green border linked the table to the lush outdoor surroundings and other tabletop pieces – salad bowl and servers from Astier de Villatte, glasses from Sghr, Annieglass plates and platters, Jose Regueiro’s walnut cutting boards and Vincent Van Duysen ceramics – created a layered, modern tablescape.
